In Transit ~ The end of wandering in the wasteland

Well everybody I could be MIA for a while as the winds of change are blowing again and it is time to move. My new house is ready in the next few days, all paper work is complete, it is done.

So it seems I am stuck in Canada for a while I have taken the first step in making this a permanent home, alone, free and without any expectations.

I think until recently I was just still treating this as a temporary arrangement, but I cannot live in two worlds I have been forced to choose, I can no longer be a wannbe Austrian living in Canada, I must become Canadian if I ever want to have a life here.

It is sad to let go of that side of myself and to know that I am set on this path now (at least for the time being).  I will take my Canadian Citizenship and see how things go.

This was a big surprise for me, I was looking for any reason to return to Vienna, but I could not justify it and my consulting agreement just keeps getting better, I actually said jokingly please fire me, their response 'You're here for the rest of you natural life' plus I have invested  (cough) lost  like water on the desert sand stupid sums of money to get  here not to mention the hell that I found when I arrived.

So rest in peace Austrian Chris forget the pleasure of Vienna, Welcome to Canadian Chris, a new chapter is open. Again.

P.S. If you are thinking of coming to Canada from Europe, don't, save yourself 100K, Get drunk, Get Laid and get over it.  It was too late for me, save yourself.
